Indianapolis Poodle
Rescue (IPR) Coordinators
Foster Coordinator Robyn Porter:
Foster Coordinator Robyn Porter has
Standard Poodle female “Hurricane” Hallie at home, adopted from
IPR early in 2009. After fostering dogs for Carolina Poodle
Rescue, an Akita Shepherd mix not affiliated with a rescue and
Indianapolis Poodle Rescue dogs during 2008-2009, Robyn happily
failed Fostering 101 with Hallie. Robyn’s fosters have gone to
forever homes in Pittsburgh, Charleston, Chicago and
Indianapolis. She has a history of fostering homeless dogs and
cats, getting them healthy and functional in a home environment
and then placing them. Robyn is happy to be affiliated with
Indianapolis Poodle Rescue and hopes to help even more animals
through IPR. Robyn and Hallie share a 1916 home with two rescued
cats. The two cats take all the foster dogs in stride and help
show the dogs that cats can be fun.
Other interests include genealogy, scrapbooking, and sewing. In
case those pursuits sound too sedate, last year Robyn went
kayaking with manatees in Florida as well as wreck diving off
the coast of Oahu to depths of 78’. Yes, she still can’t believe
she did that last one!
Volunteer Coordinator-MikeTann: Mike Tann
owns a Husky and recently rescued Rose, a standard poodle. He is
married to Linda who is also a dog lover. Mike currently works
for CorVasc Corporation as a perfusionist ... feel free to ask
him. You can contact Mike at

since December 2008.
